Welcome to RobersonforIllinois.com (the "Site"), operated by Friends of Mary Catherine Roberson on behalf of Mary Catherine Roberson's campaign for Illinois House of Representatives District 104. By accessing or using this Site, you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
 

1. Use of the Site

This Site and its content are provided for informational and civic engagement purposes. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use of the Site.
 

2. Political Speech and Opinions

Content on this Site reflects the views, positions, and record of the candidate and campaign. It is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice.
 

3. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, and campaign materials — is the property of Friends of Mary Catherine Roberson or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may share Site content for non-commercial, campaign-supportive purposes (e.g., social media sharing), but may not use the candidate's name, image, or campaign materials to imply an endorsement that does not exist, or for commercial purposes, without written permission.
 

4. Donations

By making a contribution through this Site, you certify that:

  • You are a United States citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident.

  • The contribution is made from your own funds, and not in the name of, or reimbursed by, another person or entity ("straw donor" contributions are prohibited under Illinois and federal law).

  • You are not a foreign national, as defined under federal election law.

  • You are not a federal government contractor (if applicable to the office sought).

  • The funds are not derived from a source prohibited under the Illinois Election Code.

Contribution limits. Contributions to this candidate committee are subject to limits under the Illinois Election Code (10 ILCS 5/9-8.5), which are adjusted periodically for inflation by the Illinois State Board of Elections. Current limits are available at www.elections.il.gov. It is your responsibility not to exceed applicable limits across all contributions made to this committee within an election cycle.

Donations are non-refundable except as required by law or at the Committee's discretion. Contributions are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

Donations are processed by a third-party payment processor. Review that processor's terms and privacy policy, which govern the handling of your payment information.
 

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site to transmit unlawful, defamatory, or fraudulent content

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems

  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the Site without permission

  • Impersonate the campaign, candidate, or any campaign staff or volunteer
     

6. No Warranty

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that content on the Site is complete, accurate, current, or error-free, and we reserve the right to correct, update, or remove content at any time without notice.
 

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Friends of Mary Catherine Roberson, its officers, staff, and volunteers shall not be liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
